2- Find Your Program

After getting the information about malaysian education system  now you have to know the second step which is about the requirements and submitting them to get your   offer letter and VDR

3- Apply Application

Please have these documents ready to get your VDR :

  • Offer letter ( acceptance letter )
  • Passport page with personal details
  • Academic and professional qualifications
  • Pre-arrival Medical Report Form
    (New International Students will be required to attend a Medical screening while still in their home country. . to Download The medical report form  Click Here  )
  • Payment proof of RM3,420 – 5000RM (International Student Services Fee and EMGS Fee varies from university to another )
  • Recent photograph (passport sized / 5cm x 3.5cm) with blue background.
  • Certified true copy of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS and Cambridge O-Levels, if any).
  • Declaration Letter (if there is any discrepancy in name or date of birth on the passport and academic transcript)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Sudan and African countries; NOC and eligibility letter (Nigeria). (For the latest update of the countries list that require NOC requirement, please refer the following link: Click HERE

Pre-arrival Medical Report :all sections  Should be  completed  and stamped by lab of the hospital in your country.

Declaration Letter (if there is any discrepancy in name or date of birth on the passport and academic transcript)

4- Get Your Visa

Once your VAL is approved, the next step is to plan your arrival in Malaysia.

  • Students from non-visa required countries can proceed to enter Malaysia by producing the ‘Visa Approval Letter’ (VAL) upon arrival.
  • Students from visa required countries without a Malaysia Representative Office are permitted to enter without a visa. Students must present the ‘Visa Approval Letter’ (VAL) upon entry.
  • Students from visa required countries which have a Malaysia Representative Office must obtain visa prior to their entry into Malaysia. Students must also obtain the ‘Visa Approval Letter’ (VAL) before entering Malaysia.

Please ensure that you check with the Malaysian Embassy or High Commission that deals with your particular country before finalizing your travel plans. EMGS advises you must ensure you have sufficient time to process the Student Pass and recommends you apply for a visa before leaving your home country, for a minimum of 30 days to ensure you have as much time as possible to process your Student Pass and complete your medical screening on arrival.

5- Arrange Your Arrival
  • Make your travel plan (Book your flight )
  • Once you arrive in Malaysia you will need to go to the immigration counter at the port of entry. Currently students must be met by a representative from their institution of study before they can be cleared through immigration – that is why it is important that you liaise with your education provider before making your travel plans. Once you are cleared through immigration you will receive an endorsement known as a Special Pass. The endorsement will usually be for 30 days from the date of entry.
